Customer Service Officer – part-time, temporary contract until 31 March 2026
North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We’re looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our diligent team working out of our Customer Centre in the Belvoir Centre in the heart of Coalville.
About the role
You will join a busy and friendly team of Customer Services Officers providing both face to face and telephone help to residents in the district, covering the full range of services that the Council provides. There may be the opportunity to work from home on a hybrid basis following the initial training and completion of competency checks. There is also the potential to progress to a higher-level Customer Service Officer, based on your competency, where you would deal with customer’s financial matters e.g. council tax and benefits.
Our ideal candidate
The person in this role must be able to talk to people at all levels, have excellent listening and verbal and written communication skills. You must be passionate about delivering excellent customer service to everyone you talk to.
- 18 hours and 37 minutes (18.125) hrs per week with an annual salary of £12,395 - £12,592 (pro rata to length of contract) (Full-time equivalent £24,790 - £25,183)
- 124 hours of holiday per year (including bank holidays) increasing to 139 hours after 5 years (pro rata to length of contract)
